“La Habitación” was the series of paintings that Karla Hernando began in 2007. She started by taking photos of her bed for 7 consecutive days observing the entry of light through his window and the elements that remained illuminated and those that remained in the shade. She also looked at the objects that remained intact and what changed or disappeared. This series was revived in 2012 with the series “Entre Sábanas”, looking for an update of what began in 2007. You can see how the imprint of the body remains intact on the sheets. The folds reveal and hide stories of bodies. Each corner invites the viewer to spread the sheets in search of something that can be revealed to learn more about such bodies. The folds and drawings suggest what could have happened in that space where the boundary between dream and reality is crossed.
